Thunder Hex DIPA – Apex Brewing Company

Thunder Hex DIPA by Apex Brewing Company. Double New England IPA, 8% ABV. Brewed with Citra, Strata, Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka.

Hazy pineapple colour, pours a medium head.
Tropical and citrusy aromas of mango, grapefruit, apricot and sweet cake.
Flavours are tropical, stone fruity and slightly citrusy, with mango, apricot, orange, sweet cake and some herbs.
Juicy mouthfeel, soft bitterness and quite some dried fruit sweetness. Big distinct flavours and nicely balanced. Not overly boozy, just a gentle bite. Really nice and exactly my cup of tea. 4.25 out of 5.
