Alpha Boss – Stigbergets Bryggeri

Alpha Boss by Stigbergets Bryggeri. American style IPA, 7% ABV, 65 IBU.

Half clear bronze colour, pours a small head.
Citrusy and slightly malty aromas of grapefruit, white bread and pine.
Flavours are tropical, citrusy and piney, with papaya, grapefruit, herbs, pine and some light syrupy notes.
Crisp mouthfeel, a distinct bitterness and not much sweetness. A real bitter rendition of a West Coast, balanced by some hoppy sweetness but the bitter notes is what lingers. If Dugges Echo was on the sweeter side, this is at the other end of the spectrum. Shows that there are many ways to interpret this style. 3.75 out of 5.
