DevotioN – Prophecy Brewing

DevotioN by Prophecy Brewing. New England IPA, 7.5% ABV, 70 IBU. Brewed with Citra, Simcoe, Riwaka, Taiheke and Nelson Sauvin.

Hazy mango colour, pours a medium head.
Citrusy aromas of grapefruit, herbs, pine and some white bread.
Flavours are citrusy and piney, with grapefruit, herbs, white bread, pine and some flowery notes.
Pretty juicy with an above medium grapefruity bitterness balanced with a little bit of sweetness. The brewery themselves says it’s a mix of a hazy IPA and a modern west coast. Leans a bit more towards the hazy IPA but definitely got the bitterness from a West Coast. A nice twist on the style. 4 out of 5.
