Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell – Pomona Island
Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell by Pomona Island. Triple New England IPA, 10.5%, 72 IBU.
Hazy and juicy pineapple colour, pours a small head.
Tropical and citrusy aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, sweet cake and candy.
Flavours are tropical and a bit citrusy, with pineapple, mango, papaya, sweet cake, candy and some hints grapefruit.
Juicy mouthfeel, soft bitterness and really hoppy and sweet. Loads of ripe tropical fruits mixed up with some bubblegum notes. Not much booziness despite the high ABV, dangerously easy to drink. You better like you beers sweet if you’re going to enjoy this one, that sweetness might throw some people off a bit, not me though. 4.25 out of 5.
