Nectaron – Hop Notch Brewing

Nectaron by Hop Notch Brewing. New Zealand IPA, 6.1% ABV.

Hazy pineapple colour, pours a medium head.
Citrusy and tropical aromas of pineapple, lemon, passion fruit and some small notes of peach.
Flavours are citrusy, tropical and slightly stone fruity, with pineapple, passion fruit, some sweet cake, mango, grapefruit and small hints of nectarine.
Slightly thin mouthfeel, not very bitter and got some nice hoppy sweetness. I haven’t tried many, if any, beers with nectaron before, this one is nice but perhaps not as stone fruit forward as I expected, more citrus and tropical fruits here. But that seems to be in line with the general flavour profile for this variety. Refreshing brew. 3.75 out of 5.
