Single Hop DIPA – Apex Brewing Company

Single Hop DIPA by Apex Brewing Company. Double New England IPA, 8% ABV.

Hazy apricot colour, pours a small head.
Aromas are tropical and citrusy, with grapefruit, mango, some pineapple and a little bit of apricot.
Flavours are tropical and citrusy, mango, pineapple, grapefruit and some hints of apricot.
Juicy mouthfeel and a pretty distinct bitterness, hoppy and sweet with a pretty nice body. The colour seems to indicate that some oxygen might have gotten in there along the way, and it might have affected the taste a little bit here. Still decent though, but it drags it down quite a bit. I’ll give it a rating of 3.25 out of 5 here, but won’t register that on Untappd.
