Starshot – Monkey Brew

Starshot by @monkey.brew. Triple New England IPA, 9.5% ABV, 40 IBU. Brewed with Citra.

Hazy honey colour, pours a medium head.
Aromas are tropical and sweet, with very defined honey notes and also some hints of mango.
Expected a Citra only brew to be more citrusy, but this is so heavily hopped that it goes more towards the tropical and stone fruity notes in the flavour-profile. It has very strong honey notes on the tongue, along with apricot and some mango.
Really juicy and sweet, super hoppy, has a smooth bitterness and it isn’t overly boozy. It’s a focused flavour-profile, perhaps on the cost of being a bit one-dimensional, but the flavour it packs it goes all in on. 4 out of 5.
