Foggy Bay – Viken Bryggeri
Foggy Bay by Viken Bryggeri. New England IPA, 6.1% ABV, 22 IBU.
Hazy butterscotch colour, pours a small head.
Citrusy, tropical and slightly malty aromas of orange, apricot, white bread and some dried pineapple.
Flavours are citrusy and tropical, with orange, mango, dried pineapple and some sweet cake.
Slightly juicy but also a bit thin mouthfeel, pretty low bitterness and medium sweetness. Not totally your average New England flavour-profile, which one also can tell from the much darker colour than is usually the case. Doesn’t quite hit the mark for the style, but it’s pretty well made and got an interesting taste. 3.25 out of 5.
