Humlekotten – Fermenterarna

Humlekotten by Fermenterarna. XPA, 5.6% ABV, 30 IBU. Brewed with Citra, Idaho 7 and Mosaic cryo.

Hazy pineapple colour, pours a medium head.
Tropical and citrusy aromas of pineapple, mango, white bread and grapefruit.
Flavours are tropical and citrusy, with mango, pineapple, grapefruit and white bread.
Juicy mouthfeel, medium bitterness and some tropical sweetness to balance things out. My first XPA, from what I’ve read it’s a pretty new style, somewhere in between regular Pale Ales and IPAs. Definitely more down my alley than regular Pale Ales, probably because it’s more hoppy. It’s pretty damn close to an IPA though. 3.75 out of 5.
