La IPA – Cervezas Althaia

La IPA by Cervezas Althaia. American IPA, 6.5% ABV, 55 IBU.

Hazy bronze colour, pours a big head.
Malty and tropical aromas of bread, mango, apricot and herbs.
Flavours are malty and tropical, with notes of bread, mango, herbs, some hints of apricot.
Crisp mouthfeel, distinct bitterness and not that much sweetness. Quite a big malt-body on this one, would have liked to feel a little bit more hoppiness shine through. Not the best I’ve had from this brewery, but still nice to see it in a supermarket on the Spanish coast. 3.5 out of 5.
