“Last Meal” – New single from Cardiff-punkers Penny Rich

Cardiff-based three-piece band Penny Rich has released a new single titled Last Meal. The track is going to be a part of their upcoming debut studio-album.

Penny Rich has drawn inspiration for Last Mealfrom the concept of the last meal that is served to inmates on death row in the US. The band themselves state that “The song explores the idea of a last meal as a metaphor for empty, superficial pleasures, indulged in to temporarily escape the anguish, anxiety or depression the consumer may be experiencing. It’s the juxtaposition between feelings of superficial satiety and profound emptiness. In short: empty pleasures that fail to cure the real issues at play.”

Musically the track has got some Dead Kennedys vibes and mixing it up with some post-hardcore influences. The track can be streamed through Spotify or Youtube among other places.
