Pipeline Klubblager – Noisy Bastards Brewing Company
Pipeline Klubblager by Noisy Bastards Brewing Company. Mexican Lager, 5.2% ABV. (Couldn’t find it on Untappd so I’m not sure if that’s the official name)
Clear golden colour, pours a very small head.
Malty and a bit citrusy aromas of white bread, syrup and a bit of grapefruit.
Flavours are malty and a bit citrusy, with white bread, syrup, some herbs and grapefruit.
Pretty thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness and low sweetness. I’m a bit out of my comfort zone here. I like my beers more hoppy, and this is a lager with a really malty base. My wife, who knows my taste in beers, tasted it, looked at me and said, “You don’t really like this do you”. And that’s true, it’s not really my cup of tea, but I applaud the background for the beer, paying tribute to the people busting their asses to make some alternative culture happen. 3 out of 5.
