Skogsbärslager – Bryggeriet Ångkvarn

Visiting my old university town Uppsala for a couple of friends wedding and wanted to find something local.

This is Skogsbärslager by Bryggeriet Ångkvarn. Fruit beer, 4.7% ABV.

Red/pink berry colour with aromas of red berries, mainly red currant, and some small notes of white bread.
Flavours of red berries, mainly red currant and some small notes of blueberries.
Easy to drink although a little bit thin mouthfeel. It’s not overly sweet and keeps it’s lager characteristics decently. The fruit flavours aren’t that pronounced, don’t expect the same punch as from a sour. Real sommer vibe that almost makes one reminiscent of childhood. 3.25 out of 5.
