Slice of Sunshine – Bad Seed Brewing
Slice of Sunshine by Bad Seed Brewing. American style IPA, 7% ABV, 70 IBU.
Half clear golden colour, pours a medium head.
Citrusy and slightly malty and piney aromas of grapefruit, white bread, pineapple, herbs and pine.
Flavours are citrusy and slightly tropical, with gooseberry, grapefruit, pineapple, white bread, herbs and pine.
Crisp mouthfeel, pretty high bitterness but also an underlying sweetness. The intention was to make a Modern West Coast IPA, and it has got the combo of a bitter and piney west coast and a more fruity and hoppy IPA. It’s an interesting mix and it’s well made, but I think I prefer my West Coasts a bit more old school. 3.75 out of 5.
