The Empress – Billdale
The Empress by Billdale. Session IPA, 4.7% ABV. Brewed with Citra.
Half clear golden colour, pours a small head.
Tropical, malty and slightly citrusy aromas of mango, white bread, herbs and some orange.
Flavours are tropical, malty and a bit citrusy, with mango, white bread, herbs and some orange.
Crisp but a bit thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness and a little sweetness. Decent oumph in the flavours despite being a session. A bit malt-forward which isn’t always to my liking personally, and feels a little bit thin. 3.25 out of 5.
